Google Pixel 11 in Canada: Price, Specs and Features Explained

A Canadian guide to the Google Pixel 11, including its price, cameras, Tensor G6 processor, Gemini features, battery, Pixelsnap charging and support period.

Google Pixel 11 in Canada: Price, Specs and Features Explained

The Google Pixel 11 is now available in Canada. The standard model starts at $1,249 CAD and sits below the Pixel 11 Pro models in Google's 2026 phone range. It includes the same Tensor G6 processor, a 6.3-inch display, three rear cameras, magnetic Pixelsnap charging and seven years of operating-system and security updates.

Google released the Pixel 11 in Canada on August 20, 2026. It is available unlocked through the Google Store and through Canadian retailers and carriers. Prices and carrier promotions can change, so this guide uses Google's regular Canadian starting price rather than a limited-time financing offer.

The phone begins with 256GB rather than 128GB. The 512GB version uses Zoned UFS storage, which Google describes as providing faster performance. There is no microSD card slot, so buyers should choose enough local storage at purchase.

Canadian price and availability

The unlocked Pixel 11 starts at $1,249 through the Google Store Canada. Google sells 256GB and 512GB configurations, although colours and capacities may not always be available in every combination.

Canadian carriers may offer conventional financing or a return-option program. Some plans require the phone to be returned in acceptable condition after two years or require a final payment to keep it. Include the wireless-plan price and any cancellation balance when comparing an offer with buying unlocked.

Google Store trade-in values depend on the phone model and its inspected condition. The estimate shown during checkout can change if the device received by Google's trade-in partner does not match the description. Google says the old phone must be received within 30 days after the new one arrives.

Display and physical design

Pixel 11 uses a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display with peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. Peak brightness applies only under specific conditions and does not mean the entire panel continuously operates at that level. It is mainly useful as an indication that the screen is designed to remain readable outdoors.

Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covers the front and polished back. Google reduced the camera-bar thickness by 40 percent compared with earlier base Pixel designs. With a Google case installed, the phone is designed to sit flat without rocking on a table.

The four finishes are Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio and Obsidian. The frame has a satin metal finish, while the back is polished glass. A glass phone can still scratch or crack, so Google's durability claims should not be treated as a replacement for a case if the device is likely to be dropped.

The IP68 rating indicates laboratory-tested resistance to dust and water when the phone leaves the factory. Google states that the phone is not waterproof, resistance declines with wear or damage, and liquid damage voids the warranty. Repairs or disassembly can also affect the seals.

A three-camera system on the standard model

Pixel 11 has three rear cameras:

  • A 48MP main camera with optical image stabilization
  • A 13MP ultra-wide camera
  • A 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and optical image stabilization

The addition of a dedicated 5x camera gives the standard model more reach than a phone that relies entirely on cropping its main sensor. Tensor G6 and Google's image processing extend the advertised Super Zoom range to 30x. Images taken well beyond the 5x optical setting use computational processing, so quality depends on light, subject movement and how far the image is enlarged.

Google says the new main sensor has 56 percent better light sensitivity than the Pixel 10 main camera. Its Night Sight processing is intended for dim scenes, while the telephoto camera allows closer framing without physically approaching the subject.

The front camera is 10.5MP and includes autofocus. The Pixel 11 records up to 4K video, but it does not include every Pro camera feature. The Pixel 11 Pro line offers higher-resolution ultra-wide and telephoto cameras, a 42MP front camera, 8K recording and up to 120x Pro Zoom.

Magic Capture and Creator Suite

Magic Capture records video and still images from one capture, then prepares an edited group of results. Automated edits remain optional, and users can review the original media.

Creator Suite brings video-planning tools to the phone. Its Teleprompter can show a prepared script while recording, and clips can be captured into a project. These features are more relevant to people who routinely make short videos than to buyers using the camera mainly for ordinary photos.

Existing Pixel photo tools also remain available. Auto Best Take combines expressions from several frames in a group photo, while Add Me merges two captures so the photographer can appear in the final group. Generative editing functions can blend images or apply visual styles, and results can vary depending on the source photo.

Tensor G6 performance

The Tensor G6 processor is paired with 12GB of RAM. Google says its updated CPU provides 25 percent faster web browsing and 15 percent quicker app launches than Tensor G5 under the company's testing. It also has 50 percent more tensor-processing capacity for local AI workloads.

Day-to-day performance is affected by software, temperature and the task being run. The common processor across Pixel 11 and the Pro models gives the standard phone the same base platform for Gemini features, camera processing and security.

Titan M3 is Google's separate security processor. Google says Tensor G6 and Titan M3 add post-quantum cryptography to secure boot. This protects the process used to verify trusted software when the phone starts; it does not mean every account or third-party app becomes immune to phishing or weak passwords.

Gemini Intelligence features

Pixel 11 is designed to run Google's Gemini Intelligence features, including assistance that can work across supported apps. Examples include finding flight information in Gmail, preparing a calendar action, formatting dictated text and using the camera or Circle to Search to identify an object or translate visible text.

Some Gemini features require a Google account, internet connection, supported language or minimum age. Availability and usage limits vary, and some higher-capacity functions may require a paid plan. Not every demonstrated function is available to every Canadian account.

Google says users can control which data is used. Before enabling cross-app assistance, it is worth reviewing Gemini settings and the permissions granted to connected apps.

Battery life and charging

Google rates Pixel 11 for more than 30 hours of battery life in its mixed-use testing. Extreme Battery Saver can extend operation further by restricting apps and background activity. Actual endurance changes with signal strength, screen brightness, camera use, navigation and other activity.

With a compatible charger, Google says Pixel 11 can reach up to 55 percent in about 30 minutes. The power adapter is sold separately; the box includes a one-metre USB-C to USB-C cable.

Pixelsnap magnets are built into the phone for aligned wireless charging and compatible magnetic accessories. Pixel 11 supports Qi 2.2 charging at up to 25W with suitable equipment, and Google describes it as 25 percent faster than the preceding implementation. Charging rate slows as the battery fills and can be reduced by heat.

Connectivity, SIMs and Canadian networks

Pixel 11 supports 5G, but available bands, speed and coverage depend on the Canadian carrier and local network. The Google Store sells it unlocked, allowing the owner to choose a compatible provider.

Google's Canadian product page currently contains conflicting SIM descriptions: one section calls Pixel 11 eSIM-only, while another describes dual-SIM use with one physical SIM and one eSIM. Buyers who require a physical SIM slot should confirm the exact Canadian model with Google or the seller before purchase. The page consistently states that two active eSIM profiles can be supported when the network allows it.

People moving from an older device should also check voice-over-LTE support as Canadian carriers prepare to retire older networks. Our Canada 3G shutdown guide explains why calling compatibility can be more important than basic frequency support.

For local file transfers, Pixel supports Android's Quick Share. Our Quick Share guide covers supported devices and the basic transfer process.

Seven years of software updates

Google promises seven years of Android operating-system updates, security updates and Pixel Drops from the phone's initial availability. That long support period does not guarantee that every future feature will run on this hardware, but it gives the Pixel 11 a defined update window extending well beyond a typical financing term.

Long support can be useful for buyers who replace phones less often or plan to pass the device to another person. Battery condition and repair cost will still affect whether keeping the phone for the full period is practical.

Pixel 11 versus Pixel 11 Pro

The regular Pixel 11 is intended for buyers who want the current Tensor platform and a telephoto camera without moving to the Pro tier. Both the base and smaller Pro model have 6.3-inch screens, but the Pro display reaches a higher advertised peak brightness and adds an anti-scratch coating.

The Pro models also provide more RAM in selected storage configurations, higher-resolution secondary cameras, 8K video, additional zoom processing and Google's HiLight notification system around the camera flash. Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,499 in Canada, $250 above the base Pixel 11 before any promotions.

For most buyers, the practical decision is whether those camera and display upgrades justify the price difference. The Pixel 11 retains the same Tensor G6 generation, seven-year update commitment, 256GB starting storage and Pixelsnap support.
